eRDF Link Preview Demo

RDF-in-HTML is a bridge between the web of documents and the web of data. As well as being a convenient way of publishing RDF, it offers interesting possibilities for end-user experience. This page demonstrates one of those possibilities.

Here, some javascript pre-fetches eRDF data related to the uri being linked to. Click on the Preview buttons next to the links to see the data embedded in the html fragment being targeted.

If you want, have a look at this blog post. And here's something I wrote about the TWFY RDF Mapping. (All these articles are on my blog by the way).

Also, see this one. Notice that all those links target the same page, but in each case, only the data about the exact uri being targeted is retrieved.

You will also, no doubt, be fascinated to find out about the movies watched by the fictitious Joe Schmoe

And now...

The little bits of data about the link that have been brought into the page are actually marked up with RDFa, and when you've brought them into the page, you can parse them and make an Exhibit of them with SIMILE's widget. (I'm not sure why you would want to do this exactly, but I thought it'd be nice to show ;) ).
